Road South of Coco's
This is where Ben and I said goodbye -he was going North from here and I , South .
Nice cacti along Mex1 , the main artery between USA and Cabo san Lucas
Doug and I camped in here , somewhere -but I could not find the road .
You need to be on a trail or road , or you will be blessed with a flat tire !

These tall skinny cactus are called "Boojum "

Bahia de Los Angeles
Look to the right , down in the coulee and you can see the overland flow of rocks , sand and gravel , from hurricane Odile , last fall
Odile , was a class 4 hurricane.
Really hurt a lot of Mexican families .

She speaks fairly good English , and when I was thru I asked her for this photo .
When they are finished with something in Mexico , they are done with it ! Been sitting here for several years

Later that day , I rolled into Loreto , BCS
Loreto is home to the Oasis Hotel - my little honey hole
Built in 1962 and just a super cool place to hang -which, is what I did for a week !
The next morning after my walk on the beach -this is about 6 am
I stayed in room # 4
The malecon in Loreto
Locals said about 2 cruise ships a month , come in and spend a few days
Here is one in the bay . This day they would come ashore and walk uptown .
Lots of vendors set out all their goods for the cruise ship people .
This group of bikes were making their way North
They had ridden down to Cabo , last fall and then stowed their bikes and flew home .
Then , in April , had flown back down and were headed home .

The sign said , " Best burger in Baja " I had to try one ! Really was very good .
Very Western theme inside and the large screen TV was playing Lonesome Dove , nonstop .
Talking with Jorge , the bartender and he said the owner has a ranch in Heron, Montana

Good times ! We shared some laughs and some great meals together !! Fun times boys .....
